What do you find offensive that others might not?

Racial slurs and the use of the word 'retard'...I know the majority side with me but some people are so stupid when it comes to thinking who they are speaking to.

There are words that used to be insults but people have begun to use them frequently as friendly epithets, but for me they are still very agressive and I don´t use them

Just general impoliteness. I am bothered when people can't say, "Thank you," Please," Pardon me," etc etc...

I may be a tad bit too liberal, cause I usually don't find too many things offensive. However, when I do I go all the way.

Not to start anything - I find it offensive when people get mad at me for airing my opinion, even if my opinion is not judgemental, just my opinion, but it has been taken that way because the person getting mad at me feels a sense of guilt - and knows I have a point but still refuses to accept that. :cool:

I know I shouldn't be, but I am offended when people pass gas in front of me. It's a normal bodily function, and sometimes people can't help it.

If my boys weren't so proud of doing it, maybe I wouldn't feel this way!

Sometimes it bugs me, other times, I don't care. But, I get my panties in a twist when people can't get my nationality right. I'm Japanese. Not Chinese, not Korean, not Thai, etc....If you don't know, don't guess, just ask.

I nicely remind people that the word "midget" can be offensive. Lots of people say that without thinking about it.

I get offenended by people who feel that their religious beliefs justify not believing in "science". I don't get it - to me there is a spiritual realm and a physical realm, and one does not have to disprove the other. Both things can exist at the same time.

Oh! And I forgot - I HATE it when people litter on the beach. I've gotten into screaming fights about that. I can't stand it, and I won't apologize. If I see it happening, I will loudly confront that person! (I usually ending up cleaning up after them myself when they tell me to buzz off)

OMG, Cotton Blossom gives me a headache too!

I am offended when people with special needs are not treated nicely. Let's just say my neighbor's kids don't treat my daughter very nicely and it hurts me terribly. I hope they can stand in her shoes someday and learn what it feels like.

When people use the word "fag" or "faggot" when referring a homosexual man or just as an insult. It's the same thing with people saying "that's so gay" as referring to something being bad. It's so insulting.
