Echosoftom 3 Report post Posted October 3, 2010 Not my main house heat. But I've had my little portable heater on a few times. I keep it on my feet while I'm on my computer. I have turned into such a wuss, lol.

emmie 2 Report post Posted October 3, 2010 Not yet, but I think we will have to very soon. Turned extremely chilly here, feels more like the end of November. Frost warning tonight.

Amber 70 Report post Posted October 3, 2010 Not hardly. Nights are still in the upper 70s. In south GA, winter is where you have the AC on during the day and the heat at night, lol! I don't think we have but about 3 days of fall season where you could turn off everything. Spring is about the same.
Pettyphile 4 Report post Posted October 3, 2010 No...still hot here. Probably won't be turning on the heat until November.

LizzieB 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2010 No. We run our heater about 5 days a year here in Houston, usually Jan/Feb/Mar some time. (And this is why I LOVE Houston)
weird monkey 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2010 Probably not for another 6 weeks. Still running the swamp cooler.
DCAHNM 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2010 We just turned it on last night
KansasPettyFan 1 Report post Posted October 4, 2010 Timely question. We turned it on this morning because it was upper 30's and had dropped to 61 inside the house. Plus, we had house guests so I didn't want to freeze them out. lol
Refugee 7 Report post Posted October 4, 2010 I hardly ever turn on the heat in our house. It has to be in the 20s outside before we do that. I can't stand a warm or hot house.
Beamish 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2010 Are you kidding me ? It's 113 here !
kelly 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2010 Not yet. I have the kitchen window open, and inside the temp is at 68 - its at lot colder outside, but inside is just about perfect. My heat will come on if inside its less than 64.
