Refugee 7 Report post Posted September 20, 2010 "Band on the Run," the 1973 album from Paul McCartney & Wings that went on become the band's most successful release, has been remastered for a reissue that's set to hit retailers Nov. 10. According to a press release, McCartney "personally supervised" all aspects of the reissue. Remastering was completed at Abbey Road studios by the same team that remastered the Beatles catalog. The standard, single-disc "Band on the Run" reissue features remasters of the album's original nine tracks. A 2 CD/1 DVD special edition adds nine bonus audio tracks, including the hit "Helen Wheels"; the DVD collects rare footage of Paul and Linda McCartney in Lagos, behind-the-scenes footage from the album's cover shoot, and original "Band on the Run" promotional video clips, as well as the TV documentary "One Hand Clapping," which features studio performances filmed at Abbey Road in 1973. A 4-disc deluxe edition adds a third CD that includes a "Band on the Run" audio documentary originally produced for the album's 25th anniversary edition, as well as a 120-page hard bound book containing many previously unpublished photos by Linda McCartney and Clive Arrowsmith, among other features. The remastered album and bonus concert will also be issued as a 2 LP audiophile vinyl edition that comes with an MP3 download of all 18 tracks. The standard and deluxe versions of the album will also be released digitally. Band on the Run" is the first in a series of planned McCartney reissues. BAND ON THE RUN TRACKLIST: Remastered Album 1.
