Refugee 7 Report post Posted July 15, 2010 Is it wrong to take a magazine from your doctor’s or dentist’ office?
WildflowerNJ 136 Report post Posted July 15, 2010 Yes....but this is funny. My sister and I were at our eye dr and she saw this magazine with Keith Urban in it. She asked if she could have it and they said yes. So to just take one would be wrong...but if you ask, well....if they say yes, it is okay.
AngelDream 16 Report post Posted July 15, 2010 ^LOL, beth that was what I was gonna say.....i used to work for a dentist and when i saw something in a magazine i wanted, i'd always ask first. it's called stealing if ya just take it and that's wrong, the office has to pay the subscription for those magazines. weird monkey 0 Report post Posted July 15, 2010 Ask first, ftw. Worse than stealing them though, is ripping out pages. At least if you take it, no one in the waiting room will miss something they never knew was there. Nothing like reading an article and finding a page missing. Sugar 0 Report post Posted July 15, 2010 My daughter has walked out with a Highlights magazine a few times, it was all written in and she is special needs, it made her happy so I wasn't bothered. I did take out a sample of a face cream once and I felt guilty doing it. It didn't harm the magazine, it was sticking out on a cardboard paper by itself. SingsInFrench 262 Report post Posted July 15, 2010 Yes it's wrong, not a mortal sin, though.
agirl 0 Report post Posted July 15, 2010 I never have, but if I absolutely had to have it I would ask. I also hate it when you're reading something and a page is missing.
Refugee 7 Report post Posted July 15, 2010 The ones at my doctor's office are not clinic subsciptions, they are all donated by patients or staff. I always bring a Golf magazine with me to my appointments and if I see another mag I want, I take it and replace it with the Golf mag, which makes many of those men and retirees so happy, lol. Echosoftom 3 Report post Posted July 15, 2010 It's probably wrong. Although, I have taken a couple but I did ask the receptionist if it was okay. Both times they said it was fine.
Beamish 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2010 I ask, and I also donate some the next time I go in.
