Starfish 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2010 Apparently the ceiling in my apartment leaks during unusually heavy, wind-blown rain storms. Ugh. Minor, but not something I want to deal with today!

Patty Petty 9 Report post Posted July 14, 2010 Beth, I hope it will all be ok too. ((( Big hugs ))) Sorry to hear about your leaky roof, Nancy! Ugh! My biggest gripe today is that it isn't sunny right now and it better get sunny so I can get a little pool time! LOL!
SingsInFrench 262 Report post Posted July 14, 2010 My tutoring student may not show up for his lesson again. He missed on Monday, and their phone is not in service. I suppose I'll show up and see if he does.
weird monkey 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2010 I picked up a new client 2 months ago, and they keep making excuses for why they can't get me their banking information to even get their account set up. Now their sales tax is due in 2 weeks, and it isn't like I don't have other clients with deadlines. Not to mention the fact that I'd rather be painting - even if it doesn't pay the bills! So screw it, I'm giving them their receipts, last month's payment, and walking away from it. They're Jamming me!
wild1forever 152 Report post Posted July 14, 2010 Just one minor gripe: yesterday I had to pick up my son in Santa Cruz after a field trip. The rendezvous point was a crappy donut shop, complete with panhandlers in the parking lot pestering me for spare change. Surely there must be a better place to meet up than that. :095:
weird monkey 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2010 ^ There's a Mojoke in there somewhere, I just know it!
AmyLou 5 Report post Posted July 14, 2010 well, since you asked - TM VIP ticketing services called me (after I spoke with them a few days ago), and left a message saying that VIP parking passes are to be picked up at Will Call with the tickets. BUT - DUH!!! You can't get to Will Call without parking first. Driving in alone so it's not like I can leave my car with someone while I run in. Wanna bet the parking attendants will not know anything about this? More $ down the drain.
Sugar 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2010 ^Ha, that is not funny, but it's so stupid that is kind of is.. their PR dept. or whatever needs a big overhaul !! My beef today is idiot drivers, please don't kill anyone! I saw so many today and a three car accident on my way home...it's just not worth it.
somewheredowntheroad 20 Report post Posted July 14, 2010 ^^That is so weird because I have been trying to find out were my parking pass is - and I just got a reply email saying it would arrive via FEDEX on Friday. Well, I'm traveling to the show - so not helpful. It took me five calls and tons of emails to find out that little bit of unhelpful information. Refugee 7 Report post Posted July 14, 2010 Where do I begin? My job is sucking the remaining life out of me. I'm very happy that they can't force me to go TDY for a while. We have a store manager that needs to get her shit together and soon! Otherwise, I have a feeling they will find someone else. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, what fun on my ONE day off. :095:
somewheredowntheroad 20 Report post Posted July 14, 2010 ^^^So seven minutes ago I got an email from tickets@fanfire.com telling me they were being FEDEXED - well two minutes ago I get this from ticketmaster. "Thank you for your e-mail. We do regret any inconvenience that this may have caused you. Your parking pass will be available at the box office for this event. Thank you for using Ticketmaster where we really appreciate your business. Please let us know if we may be of any further assistance. Sincerely," Hey - at least they called you...... AmyLou 5 Report post Posted July 14, 2010 (edited) on hold right now - but seriously, the person at TM is not going to give a rat's ass about how United Center Will Call is set up. At the very least they need a list for the parking attendant to have for when we try to get in without paying for parking. snotty little wench - now I'm trying her supervisor... "yes we are aware that this is a problem but there is nothing we can do..." ______________ ok - last update because I have heard from a few of you who are trying to settle the same thing. They are trying to arrange it with the promoter to have them Fed-Xd out. If nothing changes before the event then the parking attendants will have a list with our names on it to allow us access. We shall see. Edited July 14, 2010 by AmyLou

somewheredowntheroad 20 Report post Posted July 14, 2010 Sorry - cut and pasted - use both the addresses RMecier@signaturesnet.com and then tickets@fanfire.com The first email address is the one that seems to do the trick.
Juliads 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2010 "My job is sucking the remaining life out of me..." i'm sorry for your work scene refugee, I've been there before, It can literally suck your life away from you. Just have something fun and therapeutic on the sidelines to give you a recharge. i'm sure i could muster up something to complain about, but it would just feel menial and silly compared to other people's problems. Sometimes a good reminder of how easy i have it in life is needed.
Echosoftom 3 Report post Posted July 14, 2010 No gripes for me today. It's Man vs. Food Wednesday! Life is good, lol.
LizzieB 0 Report post Posted July 15, 2010 I just want to whine about how busy I've been with work this week. This is the first time I've made it to the Farm in I don't know when (and here I am, here at midnight). But all in all, things are good at the moment.
