1. Describe where you grew up: In a little town you've probably never heard of before. Population was about 3500-4000 people back then. It was a nice little SuCkAROLINA town, with one stoplight. (I believe they have 3 or 4 stoplights now, lol)

2. Do you wear any jewelry? Just rings. I'm too lazy to wear any other jewelry.

3. In your opinion, what do you have too much of? clothes

Friday Five - 07/09/10

1. Describe where you grew up:

Just a little town....great school, neighbors and close to the ocean

2. Do you wear any jewelry?

I wear my ring, earrings (pierced) a Masai Mara beaded bracelet and that silver cuff from Mexico everyday. For special times, I wear necklaces....just got one that was made special for me by Heather Webb from the UK. She had made things for eBay to raise money for the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. I bid but the price always went so high (which is great for the Trust!) So I asked her to make me a necklace with all the names of the 4 elephants I foster through the Trust (Dida, Shukuru, Sabachi and Olare). It is beautiful and I hold it close to my heart and think of them...I will see them oneday, I know.

1. Describe where you grew up: We had a very close knit neighborhood. I grew up in a community called Fraternity row because it was a stones throw from USC and there were lots of fraternity and sorority houses in our neighborhood. Back then everyone looked out for all the kids.

2. Do you wear any jewelry? - Not really. I have it but I'm not into wearing it.

3. In your opinion, what do you have too much of? - Uhm,there's just too much Sharon, period! And it's gotta go!

4. Who is a fool? - We all are at one time or another.

5. What's your nickname? - My baby sister calls me Spooky. She always has since she was little.

No. I have some, but I either forget, or just can't be bothered. I admire the beauty of nice jewelry though.

I hate to say it, but too much of my husband's stuff. I mean, why is there a picture of an SR-71 blackbird on my bedroom wall? It's taking awhile - I just took all the extra pillows off the bed a couple weeks ago.

Hmm that's a bit hard to say, we moved around so much, big cities - small villages. I grew up mostly in pubs though, I was a "publicans brat" my parents ran pubs.

I used to wear alot of it. But now, it's just usually my wedding and engagement ring, not my originals lol..I "updated" a few years ago. Same husband though!

3. In your opinion, what do you have too much of?

I am actually going towards minimalism, it's my husband who has too much of everything, I can't get him to throw anything away.

1. Describe where you grew up: In San Jose, on a three-acre orchard. I always wanted to live in a tract house on a paved street like all my friends; I didn't know how good I had it.

2. Do you wear any jewelry? I wear my cross necklace (which I got at my Confirmation at age 13) regularly; I rarely wear anything else. Neither the Mr. nor I even wear our wedding rings regularly. We're madly in love, lol, but we just don't like rings.

2. Do you wear any jewelry? Lot's. I have such a fun collection of jewelry it's a crime not to wear something each day. I collect Bakelite, Taxco silver, copper, edwardian era/art deco era jewelry.

3. In your opinion, what do you have too much of? I don't think i have too much of anything, i live quite frugally. I make sure to donate or sell something if i'm getting another.

In the city and on weekends on a lake in the country. When I was 11, we moved full time to our lake cabin. I feel like I had the best of both worlds.

1. Describe where you grew up: - A fairly small town at the time, still is in a lot of ways. Lots of retirees live here. Military based town.

2. Do you wear any jewelry? - Yes, my wedding band and my earrings, always. Other jewelry, only if I am in the mood.

1. Describe where you grew up: In large "small" town. 90,000 plus people, but spread out over about 40 square miles. Near the Pine Barrens, the river, the bay, the ocean. I really love it, so much so that I moved back there 2 years ago!

2. Do you wear any jewelry? Yes. Earrings -big 00 gauges (about 10mm, or 3/8") My giant ear-holes look weird without earrings so I always wear some. Sometimes other earrings in my other holes. And a neckalce with two charms that I love. I've been wearing it every day since I was about 12.

3. In your opinion, what do you have too much of? Yarn. Books. Stress. I'm working on it.

1. Describe where you grew up: In a small, suburban town. LOTS of kids in all the neighborhoods. You couldn't ride down the street without seeing a bunch of kids playing kickball, or football, wiffle ball, etc...

2. Do you wear any jewelry? Only if I am going out. Then I usually always wear earrings, sometimes a necklace or bracelet. Very rarely will I wear rings.

3. In your opinion, what do you have too much of? I'm with Sharon. I have too much of me right now and I am working on that. Dr's orders. It shouldn't even have come to that, but it has, and I have to finally face the music.

4. Who is a fool? Everyone but myself, lol. No, seriously, I think all of us are at some point or another.

5. What's your nickname? Just Patty usually. Throughout my life I have heard Peppermint Patty, Hamburger Patty, Patty Cakes, and of course Patty Petty. Ones that still stick here and there are Patty Cakes ( a guy I work with calls me that), and Patty Petty... MANY people still call me that from time to time.
