You are a bit of a loner and a total daydreamer. Your inner world is very colorful and vivid. At times, your real life seems dull and completely unbearable. You wish you could escape to a whole other world. While you have a wild spirit, you are quite gentle and polite. You tend to observe more than act - and you tread lightly. 6. Do you agree with the quiz? Why? Why not? - Some, butI can't say that I observe more than I act and I certainly don't tread lightly.
jawallac 48 Report post Posted June 13, 2010 1. Do you remember which story in your childhood, told to you by your parents or grandparents, was your favorite? No, not really. 2. Which childhood story do you remember being your favorite that you chose by yourself to read? Yes, I have my favorite kids books with me now: Little Majorette, Little Swimmer, and a book called "Humbug Witch" - the 'witch' removes her hat, mask, etc. to reveal a little girl. Cute! 3. What is the title of the first novel you read for pleasure? Dear me, can't remember. I can say that reading was always very important in my family. I was reading at an early age, and tried to emulate my dad - who read (and still reads) about a book every other day or so. And I remember hauling armloads of books home from the public library on a regular basis. 4. Which novel do you remember reading that really pulled you in and you couldn't stop reading till you finished the book? The last three novels I read were (listed in order of enjoyment): Revenge for Old Times Sake by Kris Neri Running from the Deity by Alan Dean Foster Winter Garden by Kristin Hannah 5. Echosoftom 3 Report post Posted June 13, 2010 1. Do you remember which story in your childhood, told to you by your parents or grandparents, was your favorite? - My first memory is of this book my older sisters read to me called, "The Little Golden Book of Tales". It had all those classic fairy tales in it. The Three Little Pigs and Little Red Riding Hood stand out in my mind. 2. Which childhood story do you remember being your favorite that you chose by yourself to read? - I LOVED James and The Giant Peach and also Carolyn Haywood's Betsy and Star books. Those were great! I read them over and over. 3. What is the title of the first novel you read for pleasure? - Gosh that's a tough one. I think it was the "Encyclopedia Brown" novels by Donald J. Sobol. 4. Which novel do you remember reading that really pulled you in and you couldn't stop reading till you finished the book? - Now that's easy. It was Stephen Kings's "The Shining". I couldn't sleep till I finished that book. 5. Take the quiz: Which Alice in Wonderland Character Are You? You Are the Queen of Hearts To call you passionate would be a total understatement. You have quite a temper. You put fear into the hearts of everyone you know. You are easy to make angry, and once you're angry, you may do or say anything. You love vengeance. You don't like to be crossed. And while you can't say "Off with their heads!" when people make you mad, you wish you could! There are a couple hobbies you're passionate about (perhaps croquet?), but even those can be sullied by the stupidity of others. 6. Do you agree with the quiz? Why? Why not? - Gosh, I hope that's not me, lol.
Starfish 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2010 OMG Sharon - one of my favorite books as a kid was Betsy's Little Star! 1. Do you remember which story in your childhood, told to you by your parents or grandparents, was your favorite? I don't remember one particular favorite story from my parents or grandparents, to be honest. It's weird, my mom was a big reader but I don't recall her reading to us. I'm sure she did - I just don't remember it. 2. Which childhood story do you remember being your favorite that you chose by yourself to read? - Betsy's Little Star, all of Beverly Cleary's books, and later the Narnia Chronicles... sorry, there's no "one" favorite! 3. What is the title of the first novel you read for pleasure? - I have no idea, I've been reading for pleasure since I was very young. 4. Which novel do you remember reading that really pulled you in and you couldn't stop reading till you finished the book? - Stephen King's "The Stand," for one - there have been many. 5. Take the quiz: Which Alice in Wonderland Character Are You? You Are the Mad Hatter You are zany, kooky, and frankly, a little crazy. Others suspect that you're not all there. Crazy or not, you know how to have a good time. You are passionate about the things and people you love. You are emotional, over the top, and unpredictable. People can't help but love you, even if they're a little scared of you. You are impulsive and driven by your gut reactions. You have no problem saying what you think or feeling how you feel. 6. Do you agree with the quiz? Why? Why not? Um.. some of it, sure, but I don't think anyone's afraid of me!
