Refugee 7 Report post Posted April 29, 2010 Cheap Trick performs The Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" live in Las Vegas beginning June 11. The celebration of the influential album is taking the form of a new musical set for a limited engagement at the Paris Las Vegas Theatre, according to a press release. The show, titled "'Sgt. Pepper Live' featuring Cheap Trick," will feature the band backed by the Sgt. Pepper Symphony Orchestra performing the entire album as well as select Cheap Trick songs that lend themselves to orchestral arrangements. Geoff Emerick, the engineer of the classic 1967 album, supervises the audio production. Emerick and legendary Beatles' producer George Martin worked with Cheap Trick on their 1980 release "All Shook Up." Tickets and additional information is available online at Ticketmaster.com (Live Nation Entertainment is the parent company of Ticketmaster and LiveDaily.) normandi 21 Report post Posted April 29, 2010 After seeing this at the Hollywood Bowl I would love to see it in Vegas. The performance at the Bowl was amazing and I can only imagine that acoustical environment at the Paris Las Vegas Theatre will make it even better. Having Geoff Emerick aboard certainly ups the ante as well!! Go see it if you can and THEN catch "LOVE" while you are there. The definite double-show must see ticket in Vegas these days!
