Refugee 7 Report post Posted March 21, 2010 The Eagles, Dixie Chicks and Keith Urban will join forces for a star-packed stadium tour in eight North American cities this summer. The trek kicks off June 8 in Toronto, extending through a June 24 show in St. Louis, MO. Additional stops are scheduled for East Rutherford, NJ; Boston; Philadelphia; Washington, DC; Chicago; and Winnipeg, Manitoba. The complete schedule is detailed at right. The Toronto, Winnipeg and St. Louis dates will feature the Eagles and Dixie Chicks only. American Express Cardmembers will have first crack at tickets for the outing during an exclusive on-sale period that begins March 22 at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets go on sale to the general public starting March 29. The Eagles, who will also set out on the road next month for a spring headlining slate, continue to support 2007's "Long Road Out of Eden," the band's first new studio album since 1979's "The Long Run." The set debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 chart after posting first-week sales of 711,000 copies, and went on to become 2007's top-selling album by a group, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Dixie Chicks--Martie Maguire, Emily Robison and lead singer Natalie Maines--will be making their first live appearance as a trio in four years. The group's most recent studio album is 2006's "Taking the Long Way," which won five Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, in 2007. Maguire and Robison are currently preparing to release the self-titled debut album of their Maines-less side project, Court Yard Hounds. The set is due in stores May 4. Urban is pushing his fifth studio album, "Defying Gravity," which surfaced last March and debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200. His previous two efforts--"2004's "Be Here" and 2006's "Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing"--both peaked at No. 3.
