Refugee 7 Report post Posted October 16, 2009 As promised, British rockers Def Leppard have further filled out their fall schedule of North American tour dates with co-headliners Cheap Trick. The fall leg, which gets underway Oct. 22 in Reno, NV, has an additional six shows on the books since last check, including two Canadian concerts and gigs in Manchester, NH (11/17); Atlantic City, NJ (11/21); and San Antonio, TX (11/27), among others. The tour's third leg concludes Nov. 28 in Beaumont, TX. The full schedule is below. Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen will open the shows with his alt-rock outfit, Man Raze. Def Leppard embarked on the first North American leg of its current tour in June with Cheap Trick and Poison, performing a four-hour interactive show using Bluetooth technology and text messaging to infiltrate the crowd. Early last year, Def Leppard released "Songs From the Sparkle Lounge," the group's first set of new material since 2002's "X." The new album landed at No. 5 on The Billboard 200 and topped the magazine's rock and hard-rock albums charts. Cheap Trick is supporting its 16th studio set, "The Latest," which surfaced in June. HeartbreakerFan 27 Report post Posted October 17, 2009 Bad news, I just read that Def Leppard cancelled. On Def Leppard's website: Due to unforeseen personal matters, the third leg of Def Leppard’s North American Tour, set to begin on October 22nd, has been cancelled. "We know how truly blessed we are to have such committed fans," said the band in a statement. "That's why we've agonized over this decision. Even if just a single concert, we don't take cancelling shows lightly, but unfortunately life’s commitments need to be the priority." Ticket refunds are available at the point of purchase.
