Refugee 7 Report post Posted August 24, 2009 Slash and John Mayer turned ZZ Top's Friday night show in Hollywood into a star-studded affair when the two modern guitar greats joined the Texas trio onstage. The group was forced to hastily arrange shows after an injury to Steven Tyler forced Aerosmith to pull the plug on the bands' joint summer tour and they picked two House of Blues venues in California to kickstart their own line of dates. And, at the venue in Hollywood on Friday night, the trio rocked out with a couple of famous fans. Slash and Mayer joined the band for rendition of classics 'La Grange' and 'Tush.'
