WildflowerNJ 136 Report post Posted March 13, 2008 Hope those headaches are gone now.... I learned about a new bulb....elephant ears. It is a bulb and is fast growing...has huge tropical leaves and can grow 3 to 6 feet tall! I will have to dig the bulbs before the frost though.....this should be interesting to see how this looks.....
Marion 1,411 Report post Posted March 13, 2008 Elephant ears grow rampant in Florida. They can get frosted very easily though. Maybe I'll plant some this year. They are pretty plant.

Refugee 7 Report post Posted March 13, 2008 The Atlas rocket, a bird once on Vandenberg Air Force Base’s endangered list, roared back to life early this morning, ushering in a new era of space launch on the West Coast. The United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas 5 rocket, which stands 19 stories high, climbed above Space Launch Complex-3 on South Base at 3:02 a.m. today, ducking in and out of clouds while thundering off the pad. Felt like an earthquake this morning! Glad it got off the ground safely.

Patty Petty 9 Report post Posted March 15, 2008 Well, I actually learned this the other day.. but... a guy who works at our place had his home broken into... and it was REALLY bad. They took a ton of things, and not only that... but they apparently hurt their dog... threw things at it and God only knows what else. I have heard that the dog is not good, it is sick and I am sure traumatized beyond belief. It is a sheltie... they're so docile to begin with... these are sick people who did this. Someone told me when this guy arrived him, he couldn't find the dog at first... it was hiding. People who do things like this should be shot.
