DCAHNM 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2011 ^^I never knew that either. TIL that the automated voice for Medicare inquiries has changed. It's now a female's voice and not like that Will Farrell character who has the "trouble controlling the volume of my voice" disorder.

emmie 2 Report post Posted April 22, 2011 Today I learned that at least two people here didn't know that the Queen's husband was still alive in England. That would be the equivelent of the English thinking Obama was a bachelor!
Patty Petty 9 Report post Posted April 22, 2011 Not really. The Queen's husband is never mentioned on the news. Not in the states anyway. Michelle Obama is by her husband's side a lot. Not to mention what she does apart from him. Whenever the Queen IS on the news, there is never anything about her husband. TIL (well last night actually) that Alexis Stewart and Jennifer Koppelman Hutt have a new show coming to The Hallmark Channel.

emmie 2 Report post Posted April 25, 2011 ^ I went to the vatican last summer Beth. I'm not religious at all, and certainly not a Catholic, but it was a fantastic experience none the less. I even washed my hands in the holy water. I kept expecting a lightening bolt to come crashing down. I said to Jeff, wow this has been quite the experience, I might even turn Catholic! WildflowerNJ 136 Report post Posted April 25, 2011 Emmie, I am not Catholic, either..Fred was brought up in that religion...holy water thing/holder (?) in his room as a kid, went to Catholic school, the whole thing. He has aunts who are nuns....cousins who are priests. I was brought up Lutheran. I bet the Vatican is a beautiful place....
