Refugee 7 Report post Posted August 4, 2009 British rockers Coldplay have fallen victim to the global recession - tickets for their latest tour are selling online for just $1. The "Yellow" hitmakers have been touring the U.S. since May and are bringing their stadium show, which attracts approximately 50,000 fans per night, to the U.K. next month. Ticket prices for the gigs range in price from $30 to $90 - but many concertgoers are turning to online auction sites and ticket exchange websites to net themselves a bargain in the credit crunch. New figures reveal that tickets to the band's shows are being sold for as little as $1, according to Britain's The Sun newspaper.

heartbreaker1976 2 Report post Posted August 5, 2009 Probably overexaggerated. I'd guess it's a case of the seller didn't set the minimum bid and it defaulted to $1. I can't see anyone going through the trouble of selling something online for 1$...
Echosoftom 3 Report post Posted August 5, 2009 Wow! I haven't heard of concert ticket prices slip down that low since Vanilla Ice was on tour back in the 90's.

nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted August 5, 2009 sounds like an ebay auction that starts at $1 a ticket and then you pay $200 plus fees! if you could get a seat for $1, it's probably in the next state!! beware!!!!!!
