bee1234 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 I don't even like the way it sounds. Twitter rhymes with litter. I don't like litter. But, someday....who knows what I'll get used to. It wasn't until 1997 that I finally bought a cellphone.

Pankie 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 I have an account just to see what it's all about. I see that Oprah is a major Tweeter. I'd never seen so many messages! She must have a lot of time on her hands.... The only thing I don't get about it is the "tweets". It's like you have to tell somebody when you go to the bathroom..... weird monkey 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 Never tried it. I just don't like being 'connected' all the time. I don't text or chat either. My cell phone is just that, a telephone, and the less I have to use it, the happier I am.

jawallac 48 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 I am on Twitter and just beginning to grasp the potential. I attended a chat for writers last Sunday that was informative and lively; we used the 140 characters Twitter allows to discuss author platform - and it worked. I've also heard of Twitter being used at conferences to participate in a conversation while a panel or speakers are going on (you know you're thinking stuff; Twitter allows sharing of that stuff.) Can't say I would be doing that during a speech, though. Follow me @julieawallace
LizzieB 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 An occasional user I follow a few people (less than 10). I find it better than texting when 3 of us want to have a conversation. And there are a few celebrities I like to follow. I don't think I would like following a lot of random people. Glen Philips put this link on Twitter the other day. It cracked me up. http://tr.im/nQQn
