Refugee 7 Report post Posted April 13, 2009 The first video from Green Day's soon-to-be released new album, "21st Century Breakdown," will air April 16 exclusively on MTV, VH1 and affiliate networks and websites. The video, "Know Your Enemy," will then debut on MTV and VH1's international channel April 24, making it the first global cross-channel video premiere for the network, according to a press release. Basketball fans got a sneak listen to "Know Your Enemy" April 6 when ninety seconds of the song were used as the opening tease of CBS Sports' 2009 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship Game. The highly anticipated Butch Vig-produced "21st Century Breakdown" is Green Day's eighth studio album, and its first release since 2004's Grammy Award-winning punk-rock opera "American Idiot," which debuted at No. 1 on the charts, spawned five hit singles and went on to sell more than 12 million copies worldwide.
