Fresh flowers...I do have vanilla candles in the bathroom and I always burn just beeswax ones in the dining room..

Don't have one..

No, I have not but I know the power of flower and herb scents. I love having lavender by my bed....

1. Ladies and Gentlemen, do you wear perfume or cologne? No, it makes my eyes water and my head hurt - and I have the same experience if I'm trapped in an enclosed space with someone else who is wearing it.

3. Do you use anything to scent your home (air freshner,candles, potpourri, scented oils, etc.)? Sometimes candles, especially if it is damp outside and the doggie smell seems intense. I prefer to just open the windows.

5. Have you ever tried aromatherapy? If so, describe your experience; if not, do you think it might work? It's been used during a few massages I received, it was pleasant but nothing special. In my massage school, we will have aromatherapy classes at some point, but we don't use it in the clinic because so many people are sensitive to scents. I think it can be soothing, and perhaps helpful on some level.

My favorite ex-husband's wife is big into Bach Essential Oils and uses them for healing. So when we're around them, we get lots of oil treatments for cuts, headaches. There's this one I keep around the house and use when stressed. I can't remember what it's called and doggies are tucked in around me or I'd go look. We spray in dog's mouth during thunder storms. I used to carry it when I traveled but got out of the habit when they banned liquids. Would use it before I did a presentation Another I used to carry is called Thief's Blend. It's supposed to be an ancient blend the thevies would wear when robbing the graves of people who died during the plague. I used it in airplane's canned air and in hotels.

Oh, and tea tree oil is great stuff. Use it for cuts, scrapes, back, foot rot, and other stuff.

Rarely (because I usually forget!) do I wear perfume, but I like Spring in Paris by Celine Dion.

Dove

Candles on occasion.. I'd rather not add scents to the home, I'd rather eliminate odors with baking soda products. Not sure if I'm allergic to some of these air fresheners...

4. What's your favorite scent on a member of the gender to which you're attracted?

This may sound crazy: The mixture of Beer, Camel Lights, and Extra Peppermint chewing gum

Haven't tried it... Don't think it could hurt.

No. And when other people douse themselves with it, it hurts my sinuses. Particularly if it's the stuff that smells like a swarm mosquitos have been vomiting Back Woods Off!®.

I have one of those renuzit things in the 'cat's shower stall' where I have the litterbox. It helps a little. Also some kind of spray (the brand varies) for the bathroom.

My husband is the one for spraying chemicals all over the house though, in the name of Disguising Odors. I prefer isolating the cause and dealing with it that way. Just take out the frigging trash why dontcha?

4. What's your favorite scent on a member of the gender to which you're attracted? I like spicy musky after shave, as long as it's used sparingly. Just good ol' soap and water is fine too.

1. Ladies and Gentlemen, do you wear perfume or cologne? Not very often - I have stuff hanging around but I always forget to use it. Yesterday I did wear Pure Grace by Philosophy. I have no idea why but it reminds me of the beach....

3. Do you use anything to scent your home (air freshner,candles, potpourri, scented oils, etc.)? No - I used to like the smell of Nag Champa incense when I was younger and would use that, but that seems like ages ago.

Never tried it, although I do like what Conmae said about how different smells can bring back memories. That happens to me every time I go to my mom's house and walk to or from her front door - the smell from the flowers (I don't know what kind they are!) near her front porch bring back all kinds of memories of growing up.

I have tried it many years ago, but I don't remember much from that experience.

*** No, I'm allergic to most of them and the ones I'm not allergic to I find cloying. I don't really understand the need for fake smells anywhere but the bathroom.

*** I've used it a few times with sketchy results, but because I dislike adding smells to an area, I tend not to be drawn towards this particular healing modality.
