Refugee 7 Report post Posted March 27, 2009 Rob Thomas will release his second solo album, "Cradlesong," on June 30, according to a press release. The album's first single, "Her Diamonds," will be out in mid-April. The release comes four years after Thomas' first solo record, 2005's "...Something To Be," which made chart history when the Matchbox Twenty frontman became the first male artist from a rock or pop group to debut at No. 1 with his inaugural solo album, according to a press release. Thomas' new set follows his 2007 reunion with his Matchbox Twenty bandmates for the release of "Exile On Mainstream," which was the first group effort since the 2003 six-song collection, "EP." In other news, Thomas has been tapped as a keynote speaker at the Billboard Mobile Entertainment Live! Conference to be held March 31 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
