Shit, LOL, I am not awake yet and I voted wrong... I MEANT to vote that yes, they would approve. I thought it said DISapprove. D'oh!!!

But yes, they would not care... I DID date someone of a different race and they accepted him with open arms, because I was happy.

They DO approve & love them just the same as two of my children are mixed race. If you are asking about a 'romantic love'...it also wouldn't be an issue, I was raised to accept all people...

My father would not approve, but my mother wouldn't care so long as they are a decent person. Neither of them would be rude to the person's face (any ruder than they already are to everyone, I mean), but my dad would have a field day behind our backs and everything he said would be relayed immediately to me by gossipy family members.

Unfortunately (this was about 20 years ago) they didn't approve and I ended up moving out from their house and living with my boyfriend at the time - we (me and my parents) ended up not speaking for about two years. I've since gone on to marry someone else and I think my mom's perspective has changed over time.

Well...I'm of mixed race, so I am the other person, lol.

At first we might have problems, but I think that would be the case with anyone, PF94, I know what you mean. My parents would find something wrong with each and everyone man I dated, lol.

Not completely sure. My dad used to give me crap for marrying Athena because she wasn't a 'nice Jewish girl'. On the other hand he is shacking up with a gal who isn't Jewish either.

Bigotry sucks. It is what people have in their hearts that matters. The Reverend King had it right. Once upon a time my dad marched with him in the struggle for equal rights for all people. Sometimes I think my Dad forgot about that part of his life.
