Refugee 7 Report post Posted November 19, 2008 Former Guns N' Roses star Slash has come out in favor of gay marriage - calling on U.S. authorities to take action over the recent ban on same-sex unions in California. Gay marriages were legalized in the state in May, but the legislation was reversed early this month when the majority of voters backed the Proposition 8 bill to reintroduce the ban. Numerous stars including Josh Brolin, Christina Aguilera, Sir Elton John and Pete Wentz have expressed their outrage at the law. And now legendary axeman Slash has made a video with his wife, Perla Hudson, speaking out on the issue. In the footage, Slash is seen playing the national anthem, The Star-Spangled Banner, on his guitar while Hudson tells the camera, "I married my sweetheart, you should be able to marry yours too. Say no to hate and yes to equal rights. Keep up the fight."
