WildflowerNJ 136 Report post Posted October 27, 2008 I decorate with the seasons, yes. I have mums on the front porch and back deck. I will carve my pumpkin on Thursday. I have those drape lights in the front windows along with candles in each window...with orange bulbs. I make a "scareman" every year, he sits on my little porch swing......my old overalls...boots and plaid shirt. A crow is sitting on his shoulder...a little basket by the door has the gourds that grew in my garden this year....even, Moe will get a black cape this year, lol, I bought one for dogs at the dollar store....I will have to cut it to fit him...the black dog is on our sign post. kira 0 Report post Posted October 27, 2008 Oh my.... some lights have been strung. Frankinstien is on the front porch - of course I think he looks like Keith Richards. The graveyard is out but not up. Barf Boy made the tombstones and their so cool. We are going to stuff and hang our wedding outfits on the arbor we married under last Halloween. Friends will bring their decorations over. The hourse has all our day of dead sugar skulls on display as well as all the skeletons. Let's just say............we don't do this for Christmas - except keep the lights up. Now there are very few kids in the neighborhood and we haven't had any trick-or-treaters in years. nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted October 27, 2008 (edited) i don't think i ever put up lights for halloween like i do for xmas, but i used to do a few small things when the daughter was young (she'll have her 27th b/day tomorrow) on the 28th. friday night is trick or treating night here and the WD and daughter will sit on the front porch to hand out candy, we get tons of kids for that. oh, btw, i'm sure it will be a sad night cuz our dog katie used to love sitting on the porch and watch all the kids stop by for halloween and parades.
