Patty Petty 9 Report post Posted August 23, 2008 Today I am going to see a friend who I haven't seen in almost two years since she moved to Oklahoma. Tonight I am going to see a friends band with a couple of my girlfriends. Tomorrow we are hosting a baby shower here.. which will be more like party than a baby shower... I can't wait. I took off Monday and I plan on relaxing in the pool for the better part of the day.

Echosoftom 3 Report post Posted August 24, 2008 I'm spending the weekend here in Kansas City visiting Teresa along with Marion and Shar. We spent all day around the pool just listening to great music, laughing and talking. We even called my grandson and sang happy birthday to him on the speaker phone. We had dinner at a wonderful restaurant called Tellers. Delicious! We all just got done watching Steel Magnolias. Yes, we needed tissue. And for tomorrow, it's some good old KC BBQ and then Bruce Springsteen concert. It's been a fun weekend!

nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted August 24, 2008 well, i didn't really do anything yesterday, there was a 24 hour marathon of laurel & hardie movies on TCM, so i watched alot of that. today i cut the grass, weedwackering, cut a couple branches that fell from a tree, went to buy more mower gas and get stuff ready for the trash tonight. it's still 90 degrees and i think my next move is to hit the shower. after that i have filet mignons ready for the grill and took out 2 lbs. of shrimp cocktail to snack on. guess i should get a tomato salad ready and some veggies and potatoes too.
