The Police will appear on Elvis Costello's new talk/performance series, "Spectacle: Elvis Costello with …," scheduled to debut on the Sundance Channel Dec. 3, according to a press release. The new show also will air on CTV in Canada and Channel 4 in the UK.

The Police members--Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland--join previously announced "Spectacle" guests including Smokey Robinson, Tony Bennett, Lou Reed, and President Bill Clinton.

Elton John, who is one of the program's executive producers, is also scheduled to appear on the show, which features live performances coupled with discussions about music and other interests of the guests and host, Costello.

The series, comprised of 13 one-hour episodes its first season, will feature intimate one-on-ones with established artists and newcomers. It also will feature unique musical performances and collaborations, according to the press release.
