Patty Petty 9 Report post Posted August 9, 2008 So, I go down to the cafeteria just now and I order a BLT. Simple enough. She hands me grilled bread with bacon on it, no lettuce OR tomato. So I say to her, "could I please have lettuce and tomatoes on it?". She replies with, "Oh, I didn't hear you ask for lettuce or tomatoes, you said BLT, right?".... Huh? Then I say, "Well I believe it's implied when you order a BLT that you'd like the lettuce and tomato on it, hence the name, BLT." So she says to me (with an attitude, mind you) "Everyone doesn't like lettuce and tomato on that sandwich"...WTF???? Okay, it's official, you're an idiot!! LMAO, I love it! Too funny, Sharon! :icon_laugh: This just made me remember a sort of similar experience I had at a Subway in California. Now, I am sorry to keep bashing California, lol, but when it comes to pizza, subs, etc etc... you all have NOTHING out there that even comes close to what we got here. :003: Anyway... one day, I was jonesing so bad for a hoagie. Knowing full well I wasn't going to find a real authentic one anywhere, I subjected myself to Subway. Yes, we have Subways here.. and how they stay in business is beyond me. You live in the freaking Delaware Valley, people! Why in the world would you go to Subway!? HAHA! So, I go in, and there's the big menu, with pictures, on the wall behind the counter. Great, fast food sandwich shop... so wrong. I order a # whatever.. it showed a turkey sub. The kid says to me, "What did you want on it?" Huh? He then proceeds to ask.. "well what kind of meat..." TURKEY! you idiot! Then, he went on to ask if I wanted cheese, what kind... I lost it, I said "I want it just like THAT!" pointing to the menu. Sheesh! emmie 2 Report post Posted August 9, 2008 ^ Well the school system now is turning out such idiots that they can't even function properly in the world of "Do you want fries with that" industries.
Magnolia 171 Report post Posted August 9, 2008 ^ Yes, there are plenty of idiots being turned out but it is not all the school system's fault. PARENTS (or more specifically lack of parenting) have alot to do with that, too.
Echosoftom 3 Report post Posted August 9, 2008 Patty LMAO! I can't wait to get back east and have a real sandwich. I eat at Subways occassionally and that compressed meat nauseates me. I keep telling people, I see it first hand at work and if you only knew what was out there breeding, you'd be very afraid, LOL!

Refugee 7 Report post Posted August 9, 2008 Linda, I'm glad your doggie's surgery went well. Hope he comes home, soon. Sharon, your cafeteria employees scare me, lol. Patty, my oldest and boyfriend came back from NY last week and the both of them are still trying to figure out why people brag about NY pizza, they thought it was boring. But...they did love everything else they ate, lol.
