Beamish 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2008 ^ What kind of muffins did you make ? I love marshmallows, but have never had them in muffins before.
Pettyjunkie 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2008 ^We made mocha muffins but I don't care for them because we put orange zest in it like the recipe called for, but it's just the wrong combination. And then chocolate chocolate chip, some with peanut butter in them and a few with marshmallow fluff in them.

wild1forever 152 Report post Posted July 17, 2008 I wish the NL would have won last night and that Adrian Gonzalez would have hit in the winning run. Dang it, SO CLOSE! It was a good game, though, even if it did go 15 innings! Quite a finish. Wasn't that an AMAZING game? :003: My random thought: I just got out of the most @#$% useless meeting I've had in over ten years. :097:

I bought some marshmallows at Trader Joe's yesterday after I read your post, and they are the best ones I've ever had- not too sweet, oddly enough. Patty Petty 9 Report post Posted July 18, 2008 Good luck, Sharon! So, we all think Krissie is going to go soon. Yes, I am upset, but at the same time, I am feeling like enough is enough now. She feels so, too, I believe. This whole last week, she "took the turn." She was in so much pain last Thursday, they admitted her into an inpatient hospice. She spent 4 days there and they did manage to get her pain under control. She went home Sunday. And although she isn't in any pain.. she majorly took this turn from just 2 short weeks ago. She is having trouble swallowing, she can't hold anything... she drops everything, she can't stand up at all on her own anymore... it's heartbreaking. But, like I said, she doesn't deserve this. I know deep down she wants it to end as well. This is so tough. I saw her yesterday and she was crying. She said to me, "why is everyone here, Pat?" I said, " ' Cause we love ya, Kris... no other reason than we love you." She is scared and I am scared for her. She wants to let go, but at the same time, she doesn't. You know, there's a saying... "Friends come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime." Krissie was my friend for life. I always joked with her that she would always be my friend because she knows too much about me. I think she'll hold on a few more days... but I would be really surprised if she doesn't go before the weekend's over. Every time the phone rings, my heart sinks. I'm going to miss her, but I also understand that she needs to go. Life sucks so bad sometimes and this is yet again, a sucky time.

Shainjr 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2008 Their is something iv been dying to know. See i know tons and tons of things about Tom Petty, almost everything but their is one thing that i dont know and i want someone who has been a TP&TH fan since day one to tell me what it was like when they first started, was people crazy about them, were they really famous, were they big, what was the reaction when they first started? I want to know everything because i unfortunetly didnt get to live through the 80's so i dont really know how it was to be a Petty fan then. So if their is someone who can help, please its killing me.

Patty Petty 9 Report post Posted July 18, 2008 They were huge in the 80's. They were all over MTV, the radio, etc.. They were big, big, BIG!! EVERYONE knew who Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers were!!!
Patty Petty 9 Report post Posted July 18, 2008 Thanks Toni and Normandi. Our friend Andrea is heading over there now.. I will be heading there in a little while. I spoke to Krissie's mom this morning, she was crying, and she said the hospice nurse just got there and she really couldn't talk. I was just looking at some photos of Krissie.. with me, with other friends.. all throughout our lives.. man, we had some really great times. She is definitely someone you'd want in your life. She loves music, like me, and her and I used to go to so many concerts together and to clubs to see local bands.. she was the very first person I called to tell when emmie and I met Tom Petty. I knew that she, out of everyone, would be the happiest for me. She was ecstatic. I think she was happier than I was, lol.
