Refugee 7 Report post Posted May 10, 2008 Hard rock veteran Ted Nugent has unveiled his summer tour plans, a three-month affair that includes a mid-summer European stretch. Nugent--who will perform his 6,000th concert during the run, according to his website--will kick the tour off June 7 in Sandusky, OH. The Motor City Madman will play about 40 dates through late September. All North American dates are included below; overseas shows can be found at Nugent's website. Nugent's most recent studio album was last year's "Love Grenade." Produced by Nugent himself, the disc performed poorly on the charts, debuting at No. 186 on the Billboard 200 album chart and selling 3,600 copies its first week on store shelves. The set features a cover of "Journey to the Center of the Mind," a song originally made popular by Nugent's '60s group, The Amboy Dukes. Boss 1 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 Nugent was recently sworn in as an honorary sheriff's deputy. (Why am I not feeling any safer?) http://www.santafenewmexican.com/Leisure/El-mitote--04-27-08 Badge of honor: It's become customary for Sheriff Greg Solano to welcome honorary deputies to the force when celebs are in town. From a recent sheriff's blog, we see that Solano has added Ted Nugent, Toby Keith and Rodney Carrington to the list. The three were in town filming the recently completed Beer for My Horses. They joined such luminaries as Burt Reynolds, Adam Sandler and Chris Rock as honorary deputies.
