TheWildOne 1 Report post Posted June 3, 2008 ^ A funny thing about that squirrel pic, I was actually shooting that knot of wood he's sitting on because I noticed that it looked like a face. The next time I looked up, there was Mr. Squirrel waiting to have his photo made!

Shainjr 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2008 This is my highschool basketball team Borden BRAVES who went all the way to the Final-Four in State. We also won our first Sectional and Regional titles ever and we were the only team to defeat the #1 ranked team in Indiana (Orleans 22-2) we beat them to win Regionals. We were the biggest under-dogs in Indiana Highschool history and we made first page of every newspaper 55 miles around and also made Braves week every March 18-23 in my small town of Borden. KansasPettyFan 1 Report post Posted June 29, 2008 This is my Montmorency Cherry Tree. They are tart pie cherries and very tasty! I call it the Benmont Cherry Tree. lol These are my Nikko Blue hydrangeas. Depending on the PH of the soil, they are either pink or blue. Somehow, we pulled of pink, blue and lavender. They look like a watercolor painting.

WildflowerNJ 136 Report post Posted June 29, 2008 Beautiful, Teresa!! I love seeing those! I have to post some of my blueberries....the bushes are so loaded, they are bending over. I forgot to prune this year! Currants and black raspberries coming on now....
WildflowerNJ 136 Report post Posted June 29, 2008 Okay, here is one of the blueberry bushes...I have five. Hard to see now but my husband made a new trellis for me for the back of this tiny garden shed. I did have a wooden green stained one he made...but it was starting to rot. The solution? I thought copper! So he made this one out of copper pipes, lol....it works and will never rot....that is an autumn clematis that blooms so much in September, very fragrant, too...also sweet peas and baby's breath. This was taken a few weeks ago... My sweet Smokey loves to be with me when I walk the gardens....he sometimes takes time off and rolls in the grass....that ferny stuff you see is asparagus....again, so much has grown now. This was taken a few weeks before my trip....

KansasPettyFan 1 Report post Posted June 29, 2008 ^ You're welcome. That cherry tree isn't too tall so most of them we get with a step ladder, the very top goes to the birds. lol This has been a great year for everything. Last year we had a late freeze so there was no fruit on any of the trees, no hydrangeas, boring year. lol Beth, your Smokey is soooo cute in his yard! hehe And I love the vines behind your shed. I didn't know there was a clematis with fragrance. What variety is it? Mmmm...blueberries. We tried those twice and they died. Booooo! We have blackberries coming as well. Gotta have a blackberry (I call it a purple cow) milkshake or two. Yum!

WildflowerNJ 136 Report post Posted June 30, 2008 Your welcome...I love seeing people's gardens as well. Teresa, the clematis is called Sweet Autumn Clematis....it gets covered in tiny white flowers..... You are right about this being a great year for plants. We have got the rain just when we ned it and things are so lush....I am hoping the hydrangea I transplanted from the back woods up to my big flower bed does well....there are blooms coming up....
