Refugee 7 Report post Posted April 3, 2008 Grammy winners Robert Plant and Alison Krauss have added another leg to the upcoming tour supporting their collaborative album, "Raising Sand." The new set of dates runs from July 7-19, kicking off in Dallas, TX, as the pair supplements a schedule that is set to roll April 19 in Louisville, KY, with a grand total of 31 cities on the schedule. Sandwiched between the first two legs of the US outing, the pair will tackle a 12-date run through Europe and the UK in May. Details for all of the upcoming US shows are listed below, and those for the overseas dates are available at the official Plant/Krauss website. The two singers will be backed by a full band led by "Raising Sand" producer T-Bone Burnett during the trek, with Plant and Krauss performing selections from their joint album, along with material from their respective catalogs. Released last October, "Raising Sand" debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 album chart. The set spawned the cut "Gone Gone Gone (Done Moved On)," which scored Plant and Krauss a Grammy in the Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals category in February. On April 11, Country Music Television (CMT) will air a preview of Plant and Krauss' upcoming tour in the form of a special dubbed "CMT Crossroads: Robert Plant and Alison Krauss," which will feature performances of several songs from "Raising Sand."
