Question of the Day - 03/27/08

Recommended Posts

I'm definitely contented. Maybe too much. I have a wonderful close family, great friends all over the country (that I can even go visit). :)

A sister that I'm very close to and we love to travel together. I also have a job that's pretty much recession proof that I love. Not much to complain about here.

I wasn't to I saw this question. I had a terrible sleep last night filled with worries about the economy, etc., just everything bothering me. Then before work I looked in on my sons who are both sleeping and I thought , yes, you are one lucky sob. So yes for the most part I am very happy, and content. I Thank God for my blessings everyday. I pray for all my friends here too.

I know I should be and on one level I am content. I know I am fortunate to be able to stay home to care for my son and my other kids. This is not the life I would have wanted for myself given the chance to have 'do-overs'. We all have regrets but can't live in them.

I have to say yes, I'm quite content. I like that word. I have everything I need -

great family, friends, good health, a job and co-workers I like, a nice place to live.

Can't complain, though sometimes I still do. Who said that? LOL

Yes, I would say I'm very content. Things have not gone at all like we planned but even with that I am so grateful that we still seem to be happier than most, there is really nothing measurable that we need or want (meaning nothing that we can guarantee, like health, longevity, a golden future for our kids etc.) The coolest husband who balances me out, my boys, great friends I can travel to see, thisclose with my sister and family, awesome in-laws, no concrete worries. If it never gets any better than this I still am the luckiest girl in the world. :)

All right - I'll be the first one to say it - NO! I am not content. Do I have everything I need - yes. Am I OK financially - yes. Do I have the love and support of the people around me - yes. But I want more for my life, for my family, for my country, and for this world. I strive to do better, in every thing, and I encourage others to do so, too. So, no, not content.
