Question of the Day - 02/03/08

Recommended Posts

My kids LOVED Beanie Babies when they were young. They were all played with and tagless. Most notable was "Tabasco" a red bull whose name had to be changed - the originals were supposedly worth quite a bit of money, but Tabasco was my son's favorite and was filthy and well loved. Figures! My daughter still has a few but the kids sold most of them at a yard sale when we moved.

I didn't own any Beanie Babies. My young nieces and nephews love "Webkinz" --a kind of modern equivalent. You buy the Webkinz...take it home...plug the special code into the Webkinz website... From there you take care of the Webkinz, do a 'job' to earn money so you can feed the webkinz or buy virtual furniture...They love it!

I have two daughters, yes, we have Beanie Babies, lol. We even have the small ones from McDonalds. They all have their tags on and most are still in their bags (little ones from McDonalds).

Oh...just to let you know...those of you who bought Beanie Babies, made Ty Warner a very rich man who owns a lot of property and such in Santa Barbara, lol.

I've got 4 Holloweenie Beans (By Ty). There names are:

Scarem the Bat

Ghoulianne the Ghost (she even has a bow on her head)

Scream the Pumpkin

Creeps the Spider

They all have tags on them and this is most that I'll ever have.

All those years of business school and I still can't figure out beanie babies...lol My friend has about 500. Apparently one is worth about $800. I told her she could feed a family of 5 in China for about a year on that one beanie baby...lol My daughter had about 5 from McDonalds that are lost in the backseat of our car. They're there somewhere. We got one puss n boots with our last Shreck DVD purchase. I love puss! It's mine! :)
