Refugee 7 Report post Posted February 1, 2008 If you could do 'it' all over again, would you? (oh, and you’ll have to tell us what ‘it’ is)
Echosoftom 3 Report post Posted February 1, 2008 My big "it" believe it or not would have been to have more kids. I always wanted more when I was younger and I never have liked the idea of my son being an only child.
WildflowerNJ 136 Report post Posted February 1, 2008 I would not have dropped out of college to follow a boyfriend for warmer waves in Mexico. I know I could always go back....but I wish I had stayed then. I did have a great 4 months......

Starfish 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2008 If I could do it again, I'd follow through on my original plan and go to college to be a veterinarian.
conmae 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2008 YES...I would have taken my life in an entirely different direction when I was 18.
Dynabeat Tim 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2008 Great Question. Yes I would. I have made so many mistakes. When I was 19 and went on tour, finally got a band going and was making that first real big step by relocating. Unfortuantely for me, I thought the girl I was dating was going to be with me forever and left the band to come back to her. We broke up later when I caught her with someone else. I would've never had married my ex......( and because of her lying to me I raised a child for 22 years believing she was mine ) even the court said she was mine and threatened me with jail if I didn't pay support. I asked for blood tests to be taken as soon as the baby was born, but the ex and the court said she could have an abortion if I didn't trust her. So there you have it, so many more. I never did take up smoking so, not worried about that. Mary Jane you said its to late now, are you ill ? hope not. enjoy your comments alot. peace
Mary Jane 49 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2008 Tim ,thanks for asking , Yes ,I have heart failure and peripheral vascular disease caused no doubt by smoking heavily for a long time, they say 8 years outlook , but i`m not having that

kira 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2008 While overall I'm happy with my life, there are some things I would have done differently with hindsight. I would have done better my undergraduate years in school. I would have pursued a PhD after finishing my master's. I would not have married ex #2. And I wish I could take back the worry I gave my parents when I was in college and high school.
surfnburn 5 Report post Posted February 1, 2008 Probably marring my ex, but then I wouldn't have my beautiful daughter... It would have been nice to accomplish things without all the roadblocks in my life. But I had no control over 99% of the stuff that happened....so... Pettyjunkie 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2008 I so far haven't regretted much, but I'm sure there will be a time. I'd probably just redo this year so I could do all the work I missed.
Flower 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2008 I would have done better in school. So I could be more than a schoolbus driver.
LizzieB 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2008 I'm really torn about questions like these. I could have been a better student in high school and college. But, any mistakes I made brought me to where I am today and I really like my life. So, I'll say no, I would not go back and change anything.
WildflowerNJ 136 Report post Posted February 1, 2008 Yeah, I am thinking I would not change anything....I can always go back to school....those memories in Punta Mita have stayed with me....:sun_smiley:

emmie 2 Report post Posted February 1, 2008 I would have fought more to adopt a child. I wanted more kids but it didn't happen and I talked to my husband about adopting and he adamantly said NO WAY. I never brought it up again. I wish I had.
conmae 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2008 ^Not too late, Emmie...so many kids are waiting for a family.
Mary Jane 49 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2008 I`m thinking that if we could go back and undo our mistakes we would just make a whole new batch of new ones , maybe worse ones
wild1forever 152 Report post Posted February 1, 2008 I would have met my husband sooner, so I would have been younger when I had my sons.
Refugee 7 Report post Posted February 1, 2008 I don't know that I would change anything. Maybe finish college. But..if that had happened, I wouldn't have married my wonderful husband and had my beautiful daughters.
Magnolia 171 Report post Posted February 1, 2008 I don't think I'd change anything really. There have been some tough times and I've made some bad decisions, but who hasn't? Overall I'm very happy and like my life the way it is.
agirl 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2008 There are so many things that I would do different. I would have studied harder in school. I would have gotten a BSN in college. Even though I haven't smoked for eighteen years, I would never have taken that first cigarette. Who said "youth is wasted on the young"?
