Question of the Day - 01/10/08

Recommended Posts

I think both types have their negative side, but I'm becoming very anti-plastic as a rule because it never, ever goes away. The cloth bags are the way to go but I am often guilty of leaving them in my trunk. Paper bags I can use for recycling newspapers.

Sharon, one of the stores near us uses paper bags with handles - now that is brilliant. They feel stronger than the plastic bags and they're easy to carry as well.

I hate when plastic get those little holes from some sharp object poking through and ya lift up the bag and everything tears......or one of the handles tear, or is missing......and isn't plastic partly a oil product ? I like that you can carry about 10 at a time.....but......I prefer paper. I reuse the plastic for trash bags in small cans, for carrying clothes in on vacation.....( my wife says use a bigger suitcase !). But they multiply quicker than rabbits.....

^ Where I shop most often, Trader Joe's, they have the paper bags with

the handles, too. (recycled paper) I use them under the sink for the kitchen

trash, and for all kinds of other things, too. Carrying things to work with me

or whatever. I love those bags.

Paper bags. Some stores here have jokes on them or sometimes artwork...

but usually I go shopping with my usual bag gear that are plastic with wowen fibres in them and last forever all of them with large handles ...
