Hoodoo Man

who got tickets for the tour?

Recommended Posts

I am completely stoked. I happened to try the link for the Derry NH show at 930 and it was a private box office sale. Got front row A1 and A2!!!! Also after 15 stressful minutes where ticket master wanted my zip code updated but gave me nowhere to add it I got General Admission tickets to see the DK in Allston MA too!!

Based on the dates of these shows I expect a second show to be added to the Boston Area shows. It was so cheap for the Derry show I will go for a third night if they indeed go onsale.

The code is

Spoiler

wreckless

if you are in the central or western states.  :D   Its a small enough group that checks in here on the regular I see no issue with sharing it among friends...

I’m going to the shows in Tampa and Gainesville! I hope to see you there.

And I’m excited about seeing the band in these smaller venues.

Got tickets for the 2nd show at the Troubadour.  Looks like I'm off to L.A. in April.  My wife is off work that whole week so I'll either try for the new Star Wars exhibit at Disneyland, or maybe a ball game.  I've never been to Dodger Stadium.  I need to check if they're in town then.

LOL - chicken and waffles, huh?  Seems like an odd combination!  I'm still sorting out the exact dates and activities, but so far we have tickets for the Dodgers -vs- Nationals game on Friday night, and the Troubadour on Saturday night.  I need to scope out a decent place to stay too.  Any recommendations?

Yeah, try the "Magic Castle" - 7025 Franklin Ave. Phone- 323-851-0800 and ask for Gretchen. Opt for a 1 bedroom suite on the 1st (ground) floor. Reg rooms are a bit small. The place reminds you of a 60's motel that the Rat Pack would have hung out at! It's a short walk (1/2 block) to Hollywood and Hyland. That intersection has a subway stop, Grauman's Chinese Theatre, El Capitan Theatre and the Disney Malt shop, plus you are on The Walk Of Fame with all the shops. 9 blocks up the road is Hollywood and Vine where Capitol Records is. A block the other way is Sunset Strip where The Viper Room is and way down Sunset is Mel's Diner. Beyond Sunset is Santa Monica Blvd where you'll find The Troubadour. BTW, I just had the chicken at Roscoe's, I'm not much on waffles. We had to wait for a table because there were about 30 of us together from here at the Farm. Here are some links for you.

^   I get a Christmas card every year from the Magic Castle, got 1 for 2019 too. Whenever I book there, they save room 117 for me. Gotta love them!

I get the "King Suite"

BTW, from the Castle's front door, just cross the street and go down N. Orange St to Hollywood Blvd or turn left at front door and walk 1/2 block to Hiland Ave and turn right to Hollywood. It's all close. If you turn left at Hiland and walk up the hill, the Hollywood Bowl is on the left. We all walked the few times we saw TPATH there.

Thanks Marion. Tomfest, check out this 24/7 restaurant 50's diner style. Walk from hotel down N. Orange to Hollywood Blvd. Straight across the street is the Roosevelt Hotel, on the ground floor is a full glass door with the number 25 on it, go in, that's the restaurant. It's called "25 Degrees". take a red leather booth or walk up to the counter and have a seat to eat there. I ordered the Hamburger and an order of fries. The order of fries must have been 5 pounds! They filled me up and then they brought this huge hamburger that had to be at least 1 pound.  I couldn't finish it. Of course that burger and fries will set you back about $30. Here is a link for the restaurant with a few  pictures.

^   Thanks, I'll be leaving about 5am Tuesday. I have 6 appointments throughout the day. 1st is blood tests at 8am, then Scans of my head, neck and chest with and without IV to inject dye. After that I have appointments with each of my 4 primary doctors, Surgeon that took me apart, Surgeon that put me back together, Radiologist and Oncologist for the remainder of the day. I probably won't get back home til after dark.

I am  actually headed back to LA in April and will be taking notes from this thread. How is the Magic castle rate wise? I didn't realize they had rooms there. Went there for a work function years ago.  Seems like it may be a fun place to take my 14 and 16 year old and a decent location to stay for a day or two when we are not near Disney...
