Refugee 7 Report post Posted January 6, 2008 How connected are you? Can you be reached by cellphone, internet, email, etc…. at all hours of the day? Do you ever (would you ever?) shut it all off, and how long could you go without technology?
notatall1234 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2008 my cell phone is on 24/7 because my family knows that's where to reach me in an emergency (I never answer my home phone). I can pretty easily shut off the computer and not talk to anybody for a while, but I'd never cut off *all* ways to reach me.

KansasPettyFan 1 Report post Posted January 6, 2008 My cell is on 24/7 unless it's in my purse and I don't realize the battery died. I can live without it all without freaking out. lol
Starfish 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2008 My cell phone is always on, but it is usually in my purse and I can't hear it. Drives my husband crazy when he's trying to reach me! My computer is always on, but I am not always logged in. I have no trouble turning it all off when we're on vacation (unless there's a ticket sale!!). Echosoftom 3 Report post Posted January 6, 2008 I'm fairly reachable. I always have something on. Use to be, when I went on vacation, I was happy to leave it all behind. It's getting harder though.
wild1forever 152 Report post Posted January 6, 2008 Cell phone is almost always on. I check email most days, but not while I'm on vacation.
kira 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2008 I have a cell phone for work and personal but I tend to leave both in the car over the weekend. I have work and personal email. I never check the work email on weekends. I could easily give up technology - I think. I never miss technology when I'm out camping or boating.
conmae 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2008 I can always be reached. I only use my cell when I am away from the house and it bugs me when the school calls that first instead of my land-line. People just assume everyone has their cell on 24/7. I could never shut it all off...too many little ones depend on me!
AmyLou 5 Report post Posted January 6, 2008 I can be reached almost any time - call is always on, so is the computer, and then there's the home phone. Only thing is Bugs the heck out of me when people call my cell first during a normal (not in Florida) day instead of the home phone, as it's usually left in my car and I don't check messages on it too frequently. Like Nancy ^ there's usually hell to pay if I can't be reached by hubby!
Magnolia 171 Report post Posted January 6, 2008 No, unless I'm home you can't reach me. I don't have a cell anymore, so my home phone and e-mail are the only ways. Of course, unless I'm out of town I'm in and out of the house all day - so I'll eventually get a message. Yes, I could live without technology - temporarily! Would not want to be permanently out of touch, though!
Refugee 7 Report post Posted January 6, 2008 My cell phone is only on when traveling and when I'm out of the house. My computer is always on, lol. I could not live without the technology, I hate to say. But, I can go without for a few days.
The Wild One, Forever 2 Report post Posted January 6, 2008 My cellphones always on, and I always answer it, no one ever calls me at my house phone, its always my cell. My computer is on all the time when I'm home, so you can almost always reach me through email. I can go a few days without technology, but not very long. emmie 2 Report post Posted January 7, 2008 Only my husband, son and friend Janice have my cell phone number. That's it. I only ever switch it on when I go out alone. I use mine for emergencies only. I prefer good old fashioned land-line phones lol.
Pettyjunkie 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2008 I' can be reached at all times. My cell is always on and I check my emails daily when I can. I don't think I would want to live without technology for long periods of time.
