EPI Casino history

Recommended Posts

I had one years ago in the cherry finish, but never really bonded with it and we parted ways.  When they came out with the "Coupe" version few years ago, I grabbed one of those and still have it.  A slightly smaller body size and still the playability and sound of a full size Casino.  Then I saw an 'Inspired by John Lennon" model full size Casino on Craigslist for super cheap so I bought that.  I really like both of the ones I have now.

Which Casino(s) do you have, Nurk?  Or anyone else?  Let's see 'em!

Oddly enough, I don't have Casino! When they came out, they released 3 models at the same time, The Casino was the bottom end, the Sheraton was the middle and the Riviera was the top of the line. I was never in the right place at the right time to find a Casino with a Bigsby, so I upgraded to the Riviera with P90's and a Bigsby that I have today. Epi also did a jumbo hollowbody that I think was released with 3 models, the Zenith, the Zephyr and the Emperor at one point in time. I just got an email from Epi that says they are releasing a new EJ200 Coupe, slightly smaller version of the Jumbo J200. No price shown, but here's a pix.
