At this point, doesn't it make sense to wait until 2019 for a 25th Anniversary release of Wildflowers?

Actually, yeah.. Or at this point, why not save it for 2024? We are so used to the idea of waiting for it, that actually releasing would be too obvious.

yeah, 25th anniversay box set of wildflowers audio and video (i think that have a video too, i see something in Youtube)

I just hope this does not mean they disappear if they don't release every show in their entirety which I would gladly pay for.

My opinion: I hope if they release the Fillmore they do a Live Anthology take on it but with an eye towards releasing every single deep cut played, even if it was only once, even if they don't think it was the best version, in addition to including the standard hits. That is if they don't just release the whole thing which seems like overkill to me as there will be a lot of repetition on it.

I think it would be cool if they offered a free download show from their tours every so often, just as a freebie thank you to the fans.

And finally I think they should release a double live album of the last night with a third bonus disc of the deep cuts or one time only plays they did from the tour from different dates.

And rounding it off, a DVD of the last night as well.

Anyway, I'm sure they'll be releasing some live stuff, if Tom was already planning or leaning towards the Fillmore I'm sure that will happen. It seems like they are first going to follow through on what he planned on doing before venturing further, aside from this boxset which feels like the family's tribute to their Father/Husband.

cheers

For what it matters, if someone posts a recording on dimeadozen that includes an officially released track, they just omit the released tracks. (This is the reason I have several different versions of the 1993 Gainesville homecoming show.) So I wouldn't worry about the shows vanishing completely.

Did anybody see this rare Wildflowers promo video from MikeMono??

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-u1aOGLrNB6AOjzrx9u_iQ

Wildflowers will turn 25 this year! Bring on the All The Rest Box Set! Forget The best of Everything collection (no offense)....an American Treasure was monumental, and all that was needed leading up the Wildflowers Anniversary release. Here's the ultimate (in my dreams) treatment for this:

Wildflowers All the Rest Super Deluxe Box Set:

Disc 1: Wildflowers original album

Disc 2: Wildflowers All the Rest tracks (outtakes, b-sides, alternate takes)

Disc 3: Wildflowers Home Demos (Tom's guitar and piano basic arrangements and sketches)

Disc 4: Wildflowers Live - Soundboard recording from 1995 Dogs With Wings Tour

Disc 5: 400 Days Documentary

Hardcover book with essays, liner notes, recollections from Rick Rubin, unseen photos from Martyn Atkins and Robert Sebree

labeled as a VH1 video so not obviously a WF video.  I just reinstalled chrome but cant link the video as I'm still getting a forbidden message when posting youtube videos...

1. Yes, it wouldn't let me post the specific VH1 video on here either. I too was getting a "forbidden" message....I figured you might be able to recognize which one I was referring to from the link I was allowed to post...

400 Days was included in the Live Anthology deluxe set.  I wouldn't think they'd add it again to another set.

Yep, I knew that. Still, I think it was quite random to put it on the LA box set....seeing how it was a doc from just one of the many tours through the years. That being said, that was basically the main the reason I purchased the Live Anthology, was to get that!!

I wish someone would've had the foresight to realize that it would be an awesome and appropriate inclusion to put on some future Wildflowers Anniversary set/reissue/collection...it just makes sense, doesn't it? An unreleased shelf doc from the WF era...

^ I got this video from the Petty Live site! There, under videos, he posted both the 'God Bless Our Mobile Home' documentary (where this clip comes from) and a 'Dogs With Wings' tour promo documentary -- both of which aired on VH1 in 1995 -- that has some overlap with '400 Days.'
