Question of the day 6/29/18

Recommended Posts

Today's question is about the TPATH song "A Face In The Crowd", that I always wanted to ask Tom about, but never had the chance to. DID he write the song after watching the movie "A Face In The Crowd" starring Andy Griffith, Patricia Neal and Walter Matthau made in 1957?

Don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised.  He wrote "Down South" after reading Warren Zane's "Dusty In Memphis" - in which Zanes used the phrase "down south" a number of times. Inspiration can come from anywhere.
