WildflowerNJ 136 Report post Posted February 10, 2014 I am never up that late but this was a very very special night. Wow....very emotional. Nurk, remember being in that basement at Virgin Records watching Paul's dvd? It all came back...just like then. Those musicians playing those songs right in front of Paul and Ringo.....they all did great!! I really loved the version of Yesterday. I know this is a Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Forum...and I do love them along with many other musicians. But The Beatles were, are....will always be number one on my list.:heart::heart::heart:
nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted February 10, 2014 I agree Beth, The Beatles will always be #1 to me. And yes Beth, I'll never forget being at Virgin Records with you and Karen and meeting Paul!!! That was an amazing 24 hours. Such a great memory for us.
WildflowerNJ 136 Report post Posted February 10, 2014 Nurk, it sure was. There are people who cannot understand how I could have waited that long....and then there are others that understand very well....they get it. Yes, it was a long time to wait on the streets of NYC....it was November.....cold night....rainy....but being with everyone that was in line with us, we knew this was going to be a memory to last our lifetimes. And, of course, it could have all been shattered if Paul quickly signed things and pushed us all on our way. But....as you know.....he made every single person in that basement...who waited all that night, all that time....feel like they were the only ones there.

HeartbreakerFan 27 Report post Posted February 12, 2014 I think I saw a commercial last night that said they would show this again at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday night. I truly enjoyed watching it, and I really loved the all star band that played on a lot of the other performers songs.
