The Mudcrutch house in Earleton

Recommended Posts

Much has been written about the Mudcrutch Farm on the edge of Gainesville. But after the group was evicted from the property, they apparently moved to a home in Earleton, north of Gainesville. Is this house still there?

If no one is able to help you here, I suggest joining this Facebook group and inquiring there.

I think Marty Jouard started the group.

He was in a band with Stan Lynch called Road Turkey in the area.

There are a lot of people in the group who saw and know a lot about Mudcrutch way back when.

If you don't have a Facebook account or if you don't want to join the group, I could ask for you. :)

I just thought it might be something you would be interested in.

A friend of mine and I tracked down what would have been the location of the original Mudcrutch farm using Google Earth and old flyers from the festival, etc.

I don't have the information, coordinates, or Google Earth screen capture anymore of the original Mudcrutch Farm.

...also, Welcome to The Farm, Phil99! I see this is your first post! :045: :003:

Wow - thanks for the FB link. :) Somewhere down that long list of posts, Marty Jourard says he's contracted with the University of Florida Press to write a book re history of Gainesville music circa late 60s early 70s - book due late 2014.

It's a neat group.

I've never even been to Gainesville, but I enjoy reading all of the memories about different bands and clubs in the area.

It's a good group that has lots to share.

A book would be cool!
