Movie, I guess. But I am going to see McCartney's "Rockshow" in the theater coming up soon. I think the last time I saw a concert in the theater it was the simulcast of "The Last DJ" from the Olympic in L.A.

I love concerts on video and love going to them in person. There is nothing like the excitement of a LIVE show. However, you get to see some things better up close with the video. But a movie is definitely something I watch at home and not in a theater. Around here, we only have one theater and it is full of teeny-boppers who cannot sit still or shut up through the whole movie.

Nothing can compare to seeing a live show but I voted Concert to be seen in a theater. The one I am thinking of now is The Concert for George. I so wanted to be there...but was on dial up at the time and lost the Choir seats I pulled up. Seeing it on that big screen was awesome!!! I have watched the dvd several times now but seeing it and hearing it in a theater is the best (except for being there in person)

I think I prefer to watch a rock concert. There is always so much detail and emotion to see that you could miss at a live show. I am thinking of The Concert for George too, like WildflowerNJ. I watch it a lot and it just gets better and better. Movies don't usually have as much to give over time, in my opinion anyway.

I love watching concerts on TV as well, but I chose movie.

A funny story... My dad was planning on going to an NFL game.

I didn't know why. So many people, expensive food and drinks, huge stadium, etc.

I told him that watching football is much better on TV than in person.

(He didn't believe me, and rightfully so, I've never been to a football game).

He said, "It's just like going to a concert! You would rather go see a concert than watch it on television."

It's true. Concerts are better in person, but I stood my ground and told him it wouldn't be like going to a concert.

He got home, and for the first time in his life, I think he admitted I was right about something. Haha.

"They have big screens above the stadium and the football players are harder to see."

"Well, yeah," I said, "on tv, they have the replays and the score, the penalties, and they can zoom right in to the yard lines."

I love watching films though, at home, in the theater, etc.

I cannot stand "reality" television. For me, what I watch has to have creativity, effort, good writers, directors, actors, crew members, and everyone pulling together to make something and tell a certain story whether it be inspirational, for fun, scenes of action; it takes a lot of hard work to make a film. I love and respect things that are clever and creative.

While I love watching concerts on DVD, I would probably rather watch a film at home or in a theater.

I love to watch movies in the theater. I've never seen the recording of a concert in a theater, but I'm sure I'd rather be at the live show.

If anything happens to Tom Petty before I die, godforbid...

I'm buying an IMAX theater and putting in High Grass Dogs, the 30th Anniversary, or Live at the Olympic in. Haha. :) That would be the next best thing!

Except, well, that's not actually how it works. The resolution is so high it would have to be filmed in IMAX format or converted somehow.

Haven't U2, Taylor Swift, and some other musical acts done IMAX filmed concerts before? Probably Justin Beeber, I'm sure. :095:

Would love to see TP in IMAX... except, ya know, I don't even know where an IMAX screen is around here. Haha.
