Question of the day 5/15/13

Recommended Posts

Trying to think of something....offhand, maybe the property to the side of us. We bought this acre and a half and the property (more than an acre) was for sale, too. We were so caught up in this place that time went by and then it was sold...

I remember a time way back when I made my 1st trip to NYC. I was only 16 and you had to be 18 at that time to drink in NYC, so I borrowed my friends ID (draft card back then). I spent a week there at a cheap hotel called "The Manhatten Hotel" (gone now). Across the street was a deli or small grocery store that had Italian lunch meats, and that's basically all I ate for that week!!!!! After going on a shopping spree and spending most of my money on clothes, I walked down from Times Square to 48th Street and turned left. Right on the corner were 3 music shops, Manny's, Sam Ash and another. In the front window of Manny's was a double neck RIC 6/12 string in black with white binding. I fell in love and went in to buy it, but it was $480 and I was down to $200 after my shopping spree for clothes! I'm still pissed til this day I never got that RIC. There is a pix of it here at the Farm with TP playing the same model. I wonder some time if that guitar I wanted is now in the hands of Tom Petty? That's my story and I sticking to it!!!!!!!

^As you should Nurk! I can't think of anything I didn't buy that I should have. Now things I should have said and didn't OR should have done and didn't OR shouldn't have done and DID.........well that could take chapters.

Most of the things I wish I bought tend to be the things I couldn't afford anyway! I did have my eye on a zither I saw in an antiques shop a few years ago. I doubt I'll regret it forever but I have regretted not buying it these last couple of years.
