I've been at the same place for the last 17 years and have always been able to keep it interesting and challenging by learning new skills and acquiring new responsibilities. I'm in the Network Management field and it's always changing. I'm grateful to our owner for providing me the opportunity to take care of my family for all of these years. Mikeyt 136 Report post Posted May 7, 2013 I used to work in healthcare - on the coalface so to speak - and it was great. Then I became a manager. It was lonely but I had more freedom. Then I became a senior manager and it was very isolating. Finally I became a director, put on 24 lbs and was miserable. Now I am a self-employed project manager for building works. www.projecthenley.co.uk.
