nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted March 23, 2013 Do you think you should pay city taxes to your local school district if you DON'T have kids in school?
SingsInFrench 262 Report post Posted March 23, 2013 Yes. As a community, we need to invest in the future of the community. We all benefit with a well-educated society. If only parents pay, then there will be no pubic schools. Only parents who can afford to send their kids to school will do so. The poor and lower middle class children will be uneducated. If the public doesn't fund schools, we better prepare to fund more prisons. "It takes a village to raise a child." So true.
Rick 156 Report post Posted March 23, 2013 Yes. Others did it before my kids got to school, so I think it's my responsibility to continue doing it for the future.

Amber 70 Report post Posted March 24, 2013 Since I never had any kids of my own...it seems a bit ridiculous that I have paid school taxes for over 20 years now....
