Refugee 7 Report post Posted December 2, 2007 DALLAS - Dallas police said a new mint manufactured by Hershey's bears a striking resemblance to cocaine. Ice Breakers Pacs consists of a tiny, dissolvable packet filled with white powder. The mint candy went on the market in November. Dallas police Sr. Cpl. Kevin Janse said the mint looks like a dime bag of cocaine. It packet is the same color, he said. "What happens when these drug dealers start unsealing these and putting their cocaine in them and leave them around?" he said. "And a kid goes, 'Hey, there's one of those Ice Breakers,' and puts a packet of powder cocaine in their mouth? That is going to be dangerous." Janse said the mint will also make the officers' job harder in the field. Police will have to take more time to field test anything that even looks like the mint, he said. Refugee 7 Report post Posted December 2, 2007 Isn't it sad in this day and age that innocent candy can't be just that? Hershey needs to pull that candy design and start with something new.
