Question of the day 12/1/12

Recommended Posts

Going to see "Hitchcock" with some friends and then we'll be going out for dinner. No idea where.

But tomorrow....we're finally celebrating Thanksgiving, now that our son-in-law is home. Our family, his family. So turkey, etc. I'm baking the pies (pumpkin praline and apple apricot).

It's Saturday, so I'll be watching some football/basketball games and just make some pizza's. It'll be an easy day. Tomorrow will be different, if the daughter comes down, we'll probably have pasta-patud. If not, it's going to be 60 degrees and sunny, so I'll take out sirloin steaks for the grill.

I just bought a BBQ'd tri tip from the store. I even had them slice it. I also got some really good bread to warm up and I'll make a veg and potatoes of some sort.

BTW, Rick, I'm dying to see Hitchcock. Let us know how you like it.

No cooking in my house this weekend, The house is in disarray I just finished painting the living room and am having carpet installed on Monday. We went to the Chinese buffet for lunch, going to a Christmas party for dinner, and I am playing a late hockey game tonight.

Mmmm! Everything sounds so yummy! We're having a Mexican food potluck tonight at work. So I slow cooked a roast to have shredded beef for the tacos and burritos or whatever. I could hardly sleep it smelled so good!

We bar-b-q'd too. Had a half a boneless Boston butt sliced and grilled it, then put it in an aluminum pan with sauce for an hour on low on the grill. Made baked beans, cole slaw and steamed squash and onions. UmmUmmm!

I made lemongrass soup with straw mushrooms last night. It was good, but not quite as good as the local Thai place. I think it needed more lemongrass.

^ I LOVE lemongrass soup! (omit the mushrooms tho please, LOL). I've

never attempted it myself but there's a place here in Carlsbad that makes

the BEST. It's not a Thai place but Armenian.
