nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted November 24, 2012 Do you think The Beatles will ever release another single?
Marion 1,411 Report post Posted November 24, 2012 They keep uncovering lost sessions. Maybe. What do you think, Nurk?
nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted November 24, 2012 I think so. There are a few that come to mind. The most likely will be a song called "Now and Then" also known as "Missing You". Give it a listen. nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted November 24, 2012 They could also officially release "Grow Old With Me" and "Carnival Of Light" once they are reworked.

Rick 156 Report post Posted November 24, 2012 I think so. You might have heard or seen on the news yesterday that the original audition tape for Decca has surfaced and although it has been often bootlegged, they claim it's the best quality ever. Bet you we see an official release one day.
nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted November 24, 2012 I saw that Rick, but that too makes me wonder. This so called "Original Tape" features 10 songs from Decca that is up for auction, but in fact, The Beatles recorded about 15 songs for the audition. So where are the other 5 songs???? Rick 156 Report post Posted November 24, 2012 ^^Good question, Nurk. There's already plenty on the web claiming that the tape is a fake. See: http://www.record-producer.com/the-beatles-original-audition-tape-is-it-a-fake Having recently gone through the process of saving tapes from the '70s for our record (they had to be baked to be saved), my first question was how they could have excellent quality tapes from the '60s without having to save them first, since tape deteriorates. nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted November 24, 2012 The answer to your question is that they are all fakes!!!! The only people alive today that might have the originals would be Paul McCartney and Yoko Ono!!!! And HE or Yoko are not sharing them at this time!! The original tapes COULD be saved somewhere, if Paul doesn't have them. But as you say, they will deteriorate after time. I believe the original tapes exist somewhere, but who has them? I'll bet Paul has them.
Magnolia 171 Report post Posted November 24, 2012 Interesting question, it would be cool if they did!
LizzieB 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2012 I have no idea, really. But I'd love it if they did!
Patty Petty 9 Report post Posted November 25, 2012 I have no idea either, but I would imagine there would be lots of "lost" recordings and such to make it happen.
