nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted September 24, 2012 Do you think TPATH should come out with a limited edition guitar autographed by the band like The Traveling Wilburys did?
Rick 156 Report post Posted September 24, 2012 Don't see why not....even better, proceeds should go to charity.
nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted September 24, 2012 I said YES, maybe they could get Epiphone to re-issue the orange gator guitars with the green gator on it, like Mike played in Gainesville. That collage edition has ended, so I don't see why Epi would be bound by a contract with the University of Florida anymore. Just print the bands autograph's on the front or back of the guitar and put it up for sale with an endorsement from the band, with proceeds going to the band or a charity of their choice. SingsInFrench 262 Report post Posted September 24, 2012 ^ Yeah, me neither. But it would be nice for a charity.
Szafira 62 Report post Posted September 24, 2012 Haven't they do something like that? I thought they have.

Amber 70 Report post Posted September 24, 2012 It would be great! I couldn't afford it either, but I am sure there are some who could out there.
nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted September 24, 2012 I'm talking about a cheap guitar like the wilburys, so everyone can afford them. The original TW-100 was sold at J C Penney and maybe Sears for $79.95. Gretsch also made a TW-200, 300, 400, 500 and 600 that cost more. I have the TW-500 like George plays in the "Handle With Care" video. I think Marion has the TW200 or TW300. You'll never know without the original box it came in, there are no model or serial numbers on the guitars made, the model number is only on the original box when they were made in 1988. SingsInFrench 262 Report post Posted September 24, 2012 Oh, do you mean printed signatures on mass-marketed guitars?

SingsInFrench 262 Report post Posted September 24, 2012 ^ In that case, I would buy one!
nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted September 24, 2012 I think we all would buy one. I don't think we'll get it for $80 today, but it would be a nice addition to our collections.

Marion 1,411 Report post Posted September 24, 2012 Yes, I think that would be kind of cool. Maybe I'm remember this wrong but I think C-Line told me that she paid $99 for her Wilbury guitar when it came out and she ordered it from Sears.
Patty Petty 9 Report post Posted September 25, 2012 I voted yes.
LizzieB 0 Report post Posted September 25, 2012 Sure, why not? I'm sure I would get it, and it would be my first guitar.
