SingsInFrench 262 Report post Posted September 16, 2012 Christmas is my favorite holiday. My favorite holiday food is turkey with all the trimmings, but we have that for Thanksgiving. On Christmas Day we have ham. On Christmas Eve my brother has us over and he makes all kinds of hor d'oeuvres. That's a yummy holiday, too!
WildflowerNJ 136 Report post Posted September 16, 2012 Christmas and I love all the foods....the aroma of the spices....everything.
LizzieB 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2012 It's a tie for Christmas and Thanksgiving. I used to love dressing with gravy. I need to find a good meat-free recipe to go with my field roast this year.
Szafira 62 Report post Posted September 16, 2012 Christmas. And love my mom's pancakes! I can't imagine Christmas without them.
Magnolia 171 Report post Posted September 16, 2012 Though it's not officially a holiday, I love Christmas Eve best. We always had our big dinner then, and when the kids were little, the anticipation of Christmas was always the most fun. Can't limit my favorite food to just one so I'll go with 3 - mashed potatoes, stuffing, and (any kind of) pie. Of course gravy goes on top of the mashed potatoes and stuffing, but that doesn't count as food. LOL

Amber 70 Report post Posted September 17, 2012 Any holiday is great...but Christmas is usually guaranteed to have family around. My sister-in-law makes killer chicken and dumplings (rolls them out by hand), and we usually have them on either Thanksgiving or Christmas for the kids. However, I never get this dish any other time and since it is not on my list of approved foods....it sure is good to "sin" a little that day.
Rick 156 Report post Posted September 17, 2012 Thanksgiving has always been my favorite holiday. I love all the food, but am very partial to the pies that I bake for dessert.
somewheredowntheroad 20 Report post Posted September 17, 2012 I love Christmas - singing the hymns and celebrating. On Christmas Eve we always have something from the sea (since Jesus was the fisherman of men) - shrimp, lobster or crab - or whatever is fresh.
