I think of people who have traveled where no one has before....that could be anywhere....women in certain jobs....doctors trying new procedures....going into space....

For some reason I think of the pioneers who blazed the trails to make a new life for themselves out west. I don't know why but that's what pioneers makes me think about.

I think of going west on wagon train, the gold rush, explorers, inventors, undiscovered place and things, hardship, and learning

I think of this..

The pioneers had to cross this long desert (it took days), then they had scale the Sierras to get to their oasis -- California.. Their horses and wagons sank in the salt flats and they had to lift their wagons on pulleys to get across the mountains. I’ve never complained about traveling since I read about the pioneers…lol Of course, the word has the meaning of discovery, too.
