nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted September 7, 2012 Meeting up with old childhood friends for our weekly Friday lunch. Now that we are all retiring, we have time to get together every week at a different restaurant. Today will be BBQ ribs for me at a newer place in town. At least that's the plan right now, until I see the menu.
wild1forever 152 Report post Posted September 7, 2012 ^^Wow Rick, enjoy the concert!!! Nothing exciting here: grocery shopping, doing something with the avalanche of tomatoes from our garden, watching baseball tonight.
TomFest 576 Report post Posted September 7, 2012 Work, but home early so my son can have my car so he can go to work. Then pizza for dinner and I'll probably watch the ballgame on the tube tonight while considering the frosty beverage next to me and the guitar in my hands. Multitasking! :003:
kelly 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2012 Finishing up work, leaving on time for once in about a month. I hope to talk to my parents who are in London on vacation. Go out into my garden with a flashlight and pick a mess of jalapenos. Cook up an onion/pepper/potato concoction and eat before collapsing to bed early. Not very exciting - but I'm so glad its Friday and I'm oof this weekend!

Marion 1,411 Report post Posted September 7, 2012 I'm working all day and then we're going out for wings with the granddaughters. It will probably be an early night. I'm wiped out from this week. It's been a tough one.

nurktwin 2,143 Report post Posted September 7, 2012 I got back from lunch and thought I'd cut the grass, But that's not happening today!!! I ate too much and need a nap.....lol. I got a slab of BBQ St. Louis style ribs, fries and a salad. I almost finished the ribs (left one bone I couldn't finish), had a couple fries from a huge basket and ate the salad. This place was new to me under the new owners and there was a lot to try from a big menu. So I also ordered a dozen hot buffalo wings to go!! I figured I could have them later if I got hungry again, so maybe I'll have wings tonight like Marion and Pete, cheers guys. 1 of my dvd's quit working a while back that was "Carl Perkins and Friends" (George, Ringo, Eric and others) and I miss that show. When I got home from lunch, the mail was here and there was a box from my brother. I opened it and there is a dvd of Carl Perkins and friends, A Rockabilly Session!!!!! I'll be watching that tonight and eating wings, you're all welcome to join in, but only the 1st 12 people get a wing!!!!!!! BYOB......lol.
